The Janus School is the only school dedicated to educating students with learning differences in south-central Pennsylvania. Built on a beautiful 40-acre campus in Mount Joy, PA, we serve students in grades K-12+ diagnosed with a language- or math-based learning disability, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), executive function difficulties (EFD), nonverbal learning disorder, or auditory processing disorder.

For 30 years, Janus has focused on developing the whole student to “learn how to learn”. Students at Janus confront their learning differences head on and become their own biggest advocate in negotiating school, work, and life. They are successful because they are empowered with the tools and skills to lead rich fulfilling lives.

Dan is the Founder and President of Elevate Nepal, driving the strategic vision behind our organization as well as managing all projects and leading donor engagement. He is deeply passionate about working with Nepal’s most-remote communities and ensuring their success now and in future generations.

First traveling to Nepal in 2011 to Mount Everest base camp and volunteer on farms in rural villages, Dan was captivated by the beauty of Nepal’s people and landscapes. Afte the Gorkha Earthquake in 2015,he spearheaded a fundraiser and returned for another three months to help with earthquake relief efforts. Shortly after, he founded Elevate Nepal.

Originally from Rochester, New York, USA, Dan has a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University. He has lived, worked and traveled both in America and abroad. In 2019, St. Bonaventure University recognized Dan as one of only 26 Distinguished Alumni for his work with Elevate Nepal, Inc.

JA of South Central Pa will reach over 100,000 K-12 students this year with our FREE programs in financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship.  We run many programs throughout Lancaster County.
