Unique Ways Good Samaritan Services partners with businesses in Lanc to offer financial empowerment

Since 2009, Nate has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Good Samaritan Services, an organization providing shelter, housing and supportive services to homeless men, women and women in Lancaster and Chester Counties.

During Nate’s time at Good Samaritan Services, the organization has grown from serving 15 people a day, to serving 200 people a day.  The organization now has four locations (Ephrata, Lancaster, Coatesville, Phoenixville) and employs 33 staff members to fulfill its mission.  While the organization has grown significantly, Good Samaritan Services remains very efficient and effective.  It costs the organization on $23 per person, per day, to provide shelter, housing, case management services, food and supplies.

Previously, Nate has worked with many non-profit organizations including Bread for the World in Washington, DC and the Independent Jamaican Council for Human Rights in Kingston, Jamaica.

In addition to his current work at Good Samaritan Services, Nate serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Conner M. Holland Foundation, and organization that provides financial assistance to families fighting pediatric cancer.

Nate is also a current member and former President of the Denver-Ephrata Rotary Club.

He and his wife, Rebekah, live in Ephrata and have three children.  They are members of Petra Church in New Holland.

Nate earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Eastern Mennonite University and his MBA from Eastern University.   Nate also holds a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Arcadia University.
