1st Annual Lancaster Red Rose Film Festival (RRFF)November 1-3, 2019


Ian Long was also born and raised in Lancaster County, attending Lampeter-Strasburg High School and graduating in 2004. He attended the University of Pittsburgh to receive Bachelor's Degrees in Sociology and English, and then he returned home to Lancaster County to earn his Master's in English at Millersville University. He served on the lead creative team for the record-breaking 2015 U.S. Women's Open hosted at Lancaster Country Club, and he was the Creative Director for the 2016 U.S. Women's Open in Santa Clara County, California, where he worked with Ryan. Ian serves as the Creative Director for the inaugural season of the Red Rose Film Festival. He lives in downtown Lancaster with his wife, Megan.


RRFF is dedicated to the enrichment of Lancaster  through the promotion of independent films and continued economic development, celebration of the arts, tourism growth, and education of the industry. This film festival recognizes the many voices of filmmakers across the planet and celebrates their perspectives, cultures and visions.

 

This is going to be another exciting event for Lancaster County!

 

Ryan Shank was born and raised in Lancaster County, attending Lancaster Catholic High School and graduating in 2004, after which he attended St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia en route to a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in 2008. Ryan has long been involved in the film industry, participating both in front of the camera and behind it. His goal for years was to take his experiences and translate them to a major film festival in his beloved hometown. He formed the Red Rose Film Festival late last year, and in 2019, he serves as the Executive Director for the inaugural season of RRFF. Ryan lives in Mt. Joy with his wife, Abby, and soon, his first child, Jackson.
