Mission of "Girls on the Run"

Jennifer West, the dynamic Executive Director of Girls on the Run Lancaster, is a seasoned professional with a passion for both commuciation and education. Her journey began with 7 years immersed in the fast-paced world of media communication, where she honed her skills in delivering powerful messages to diverse audiences.

Jennifer then transitioned to the field of education, dedicating another 7 years to shaping young minds. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Indiana University of PA and a teaching certificate from Wilson College, she brought a unique blend of expertise to her roles.

In 2009, fueled by a desire to empower young girls, Jennifer co-founded Girls on the Run Lancaster. For the next 14 years, she served as the program director, leaving an indelible mark on the organization. Her commitment to fostering confidence, character, and connection in young girls was a driving force behaind the program's success.

In recognition of her exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication, Jennifer assumed the role of Executive Director in 2023. In this capacity, she continues to steer Girls on the Run Lancaster-Lebanon towards new heights, ensuring that the organization remains a beacon of empowerment for girls in the community.

Beyond her professional achievemnets, Jennifer finds joy in spending time with her husband and two adult girls. Her nurturing spirit extends beyond the work place, creating a positive impact on both her family and the broader community, In her downtime, you can find Jennifer pursuing her hobbies, which include keeping physically active, immersing herself in the great outdoors, exploring new destinations though travel and cherishing moments with her family.

Jennifer West's life and career are a testament to the transformative power of combining passion, expertise, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. 

Lindsay High is the Community Engagement Lead. At her core, Lindsay is a connector. Connecting people to build lasting relationships, connecting organizations to create meaningful strategies, and connecting girls to their power and potential. Lindsay is grateful to be able to share her passion for uplifting others through several community-centered roles, including her role with Girls on the Run Lancaster-Lebanon.  

As an active member of the Lancaster community, she has forged relationships with some of the region's most innovative leaders and has received invaluable guidance that she strives to share. Lindsay has served as a consultant for ASSETS, volunteering her expertise in order to teach classes and seminars that help guide entrepreneurs toward building intentional businesses that better our ommunity. She has equipped more than 100 entrepreneurs with branding and marketing skills through ASSETS programs alone. When she is not advocating for humans, she is advocating for animals through her volunteer efforts with local animal rescue organizations.

In the prolific words of Helen Keller, "life is either a great adventure or nothing," Lindsay strives to bring that passion to her work, community initatives, and each intentional engagment.
