Ryan Shank
Red Rose Festival
Ryan Shank is a Lancaster native and graduate of Lancaster Catholic and Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. The majority of his career is centered around both the entertainment industries.
Today Ryan is here with us as the executive Director of the red Rose film festival established in 2019.

Since 2019 the Red Rose Film Festival has promoted and encouraged our community and the film community around the world to share their diverse and unique experiences. Our greatest impact has been to be a platform for the general public, film professionals, tourism, higher education and small businesses in the Lancaster community to collaborate to create a mutually beneficial year round series of events.

This year the festival is expanding its programming to the greater Lancaster county audience with a collaboration with Penn Cinema, Zoetropolis and developing partnerships with K-12 and higher education institutions in the Lancaster area to develop programming and the foundation of what students can believe are career opportunities that are being developed in some of the most influential entertainment companies in the world. Ie rock Lititz, Tait, Atomic design, Triode media, and make films to name a few.

Ryan is here to expand on its existing platform to encourage the development of students of all backgrounds and industry professionals. Lancaster has an incredible opportunity to embrace all of them. Community is our purpose. The perspectives of these filmmakers form a bridge across economic, gender, and cultural communities, which upholds our motto: "Global Perspectives, Local Impact." It is in these values that we will continue to respect and represent our beloved Central PA community
